Thank you for the comment, really appreciate the suggestion and I agree that adding more asset classes could potentially improve the overall performance.
That said, the goal of this piece was not to construct the best performing portfolio, but to illustrate the idea of using leveraged ETFs as exposure tools to replicate a familiar allocation with less capital and without household-level borrowing. The 60/40 benchmark was chosen intentionally as a simple reference.
I agree that applying the same framework to a more diversified mix would be an interesting follow up.
