Interesting comment. I would, however, make a rather fundamental change to the process. I don't think with a proper AI infrastructure you need to limit a deep analysis to 500-1000 stocks. This will reduce alpha meaningfully (breadth is reduced a lot, skill potentially as well) without a real advantage or need to do so.
