There is undoubtedly too much focus on divestment as if disavowing oil companies or other perceived problem companies will change the world. It won't, at least not for a very long time as carbon related fuels will still be close to 70% of energy usage for the foreseeable future. Far better to use engagement to improve the behaviour of companies that exist in the real world in a manner that can provide not only growth in developing markets , where self interest, and in many cases survival, will be far more important in the short term than concerns over climate change.
