Paul, an interesting notion. Indian politics and sectarian violence are likely to get in the way. As well I think long held relationships between European banks and money from the Middle East, Africa and elsewhere will take a few generations before any changes are made. Having said that if India were indeed to displace New York and London that will bring much needed stability to the geo politics of sub-continent (India, Pakistan, disputed Kashmir, Tibet, etc).
