After watching any number of very smart Phd'd A.I. experts throwing math at the problem and an army of not quite as smart Consultants thrashing around attempting to understand what it is they are looking for I am still on the side of domain knowledge i.e. experience providing the clue as to what needles to look for in the haystack. Or at the very least what those needles might look like. I haven't met anyone under 40 with those answers in the field yet.
