Agreed, Lydia. Unfortunately the internet is full with articles bashing private equity/markets (seems to be a popular past time, perhaps of active public managers jealous of private equity fees?), and yet it remains the best performing asset class for institutional investors, large and small (someone who worked for a pension fund and a sovereign wealth fund), with the persistence of performance well documented for decades.
