Thanks for reading. I agree that china's growth has been spectacular and surprising. I personally do not believe that any approximation of true free market capitalism is either in existence or desirable.
Governments undoubtedly have a role to play in supporting their populations when the economy slows, and I expect the Chinese government to make quite a competent intervention within the limits of what is reasonable.
I would caution against a belief in an unspecified positive action though. "They will do something" is likely true, but you owe it to yourself to tease out the nature of that something a bit more.
