To me, the left like the right have failed (or are afraid.) to recognize the
essence of the problem (FRB) but there is hope on the horizon because for the
first time in modern monetary history, Swiss people will be called to vote
on the matter (see http://www.initiative-monnaie-pleine.ch/english/ )
Obviously the SNB, the Swiss Federal Council and the banks are against it
but the debate will grow among the population and a vote will be cast at
some point in time. Stripping banks from their power to create money is, in
my view , a very democratic move and a fantastic opportunity to decentralize the investment and credit functions. Credit market will take the relay
and probably will be very creative in making ends meet. Bankers will not be
out of the game.. They will just find more competition.
