Disclaimer: I have not read Measuring 'Metrics. Based on Mr. Rzepczynski's thorough and engaging review, however, I will and will circle back with another post.

Nonetheless, two thoughts:

1. Econometricians have predicted nine out of the last three recessions, haven't they?

2. If there's a difference between econometrics and astrology, I've never spotted it.
