I returned to this post and comment section when I came across news that our dear, good friend Ted Seides has apparently departed his hedge fund and now, as he puts it on his profile, is a "free agent." Alas, we will miss his rationalizations for hedge fund failures and his insights into why the "best and brightest" end up at places like his old firm. We can only hope that someone else at his prior firm will take up the torch and charge into the breach with a panoply of charts and graphs and obfuscating text to justify disastrous under-performance year after year. Those lucky devils who get this "free agent" next.
