The ongoing research on the impact of liquidity is headed in the right direction and calls for a collective effort to save the world another financial crisis. Prof. Engle would like to see a better risk measure that can give an estimate over a much longer horizon rather than a day ahead measure like VaR. I'm just thrilled by that knowing that the future holds uncertainty.
