In my opinion, the islamic finance could be a great solution to decrease the unemployement in the MENA region (and particularly in the NA). As you say there are many SMEs in these countries, because many entrepreneurs today don't have a shari'a compliant financial market that allow them to grow their businesses. In this case the islamic finance may be a solution to both make profit for shareholders and hiring more people for society!
