Great blog and discussion.

To add to be clear, in Darwin's manuscript "Ascent of Man," he ONLY mentions 2x about "survival of the fittest"- thus later has been interpreted as 'competition.' He does in fact mention +90 times cooperation.

Agreed, yet I think it is a balance of sorts of cooperation and competition. Innately, humanity is not solely predisposed to 'survival of the fittest' only.
