You say this will not have a significant effect on retirement spending but that is ridiculous. Anytime you have such a drastic cut, common sense tells you that many things will change. Perhaps the drastic necessities will not change, such as food, housing, water and sewer, and electric bills, but all other items will change with a significant cut in retirement funds.
