Funny you should ask. I am publishing a book on the full financial history of the United States in the Fall of 2023. Feel free to reach out to me on LinkedIn if you would like a copy. I will have a website up within the next few weeks as well. The book explains a variety of key economic and investing concepts by revealing them in the context of historical events in which they were most relevant. In the meantime, I think a lot can be learned from Robert Sobel’s book “The Big Board.” It tracks the full history of the New York Stock Exchange from 1790 to 1968.
