If you compare specialists "with myopic viewpoint...based on their industry factors" with generaists "with security level & macro understanding", then I suppose the latter wins more often. What if we compare specialists with macro level understanding and generalists with no security level understanding? :-) You get my point: For an investment team, the choice of having strong vs. not-so-strong investment professionals is certainly more important than the choice of having geralists vs. specialists. But that is another topic for another day.
