Scientific research has proven that the relationship between gender and ethnic diversity has none or negative implications on team performance (van Dijk, van Engen, & van Knippenberg, 2012). Thus, if any correlation exists is certainly not positive, let alone positively causal.
These findings are really no surprise and hint at mainstream biological and psychological literature investigating for example gender differences in preference, attitudes and coping mechanisms (Keiser, Del Giudice, & Booth, 2019). These differences are also very well visible in differential patterns of choice globally (Stoet & Geary, 2018).
If a type of diversity might have a positive impact is « competence diversity » and only under some circumstances (Horwitz & Horwitz 2007).
I really wish to read non-politically biased articles from a renowned source of information such as the CFA. Or at least, I’d love to see some references when this is the case, so that readers can distinguish among scientific claims and ideological positions.
