All too often, the subject of management is given only cursory attention by analysts. One articulate corporate officer, George Olmsted, Jr., of the S. D. Warren Company, has commented on this oversight in his company’s latest annual report.
The author suggests several types of questions that analysts might raise in discussing the adequacy of management. The article covers two areas: the management team and planning.
