The EU Steering Committee brings together CFA Institute and CFA Societies across Europe to align and advance a cohesive regional policy advocacy strategy. Its mission is to ensure that the perspectives of European investment professionals are reflected in CFA Institute’s advocacy priorities and to help shape a regulatory and market environment that upholds the highest standards of market integrity and investor protection.

The Committee facilitates structured information sharing, provides guidance on emerging policy topics, and helps identify research and advocacy initiatives that support EU capital market deepening and integration.

The EU Steering Committee meets quarterly, with the last in-person meeting in Sept. 2025 in Copenhagen. Learn more

CFA Institute Blueprint for the EU Capital Markets Union

The CFA Institute Blueprint for the 2024-2029 legislative period in the EU outlines the position of CFA Institute and its member societies in the EU and Switzerland on the main priorities for the next five years. It focuses on five main topics: Resiliency of Capital Markets, Technology, Business Conduct, Sustainability, and Pensions. All these topics align with CFA Institute research and standard research themes.
