Fintech has taken the financial services industry by storm. Is it all hype or are real transformations taking place? How is the new breed of fintech firms applying such new technologies as artificial intelligence, big data, and blockchain to the centuries-old insurance business?  To look beneath the surface, Larry Cao, CFA, asked Chen Wei, CEO of Zhong An Technology—the technology arm of Zhong An Insurance, a fintech firm cofounded by Jack Ma (Alibaba), Pony Ma (Tencent), and Mingzhe Ma (Ping An Group).
