Tomokuni Higano, CFA, is senior portfolio manager at Vertex Investment Solutions Co., Ltd., which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dai-ichi Life Holdings, Inc. and provides quantitative solutions for professional investors. He started his career working for Asset Management One Co., Ltd., previously DIAM asset management Co., Ltd., and spent more than 10 years as a fund manager in both active fixed-income and quantitative investment using machine learning and big data. He holds an MS of environment studies from the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences at the University of Tokyo.
