Paul Lavery, PhD, is an assistant professor of finance at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow. His research focuses on private equity and venture capital investment, and he has been published in leading academic journals and has been featured in media outlets, including The Financial Times. Lavery has worked with a UK private equity investor and currently serves as the chair of the Research Advisory Committee at the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA). At Glasgow, he has designed and teaches courses on private equity and venture capital.
