Ola Mahmoud, PhD, is head of Liquid Alternatives at Vontobel Asset Management, where she develops systematic, data-driven investment solutions across asset classes. She began her career at MSCI in risk analytics before moving into systematic global macro investing at Pictet. She subsequently spent more than a decade in academia, most recently as professor of Quantitative Economics at the University of St. Gallen. She holds a Master’s degree and a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge.
