Odiri Oginni , CFA
Biography
Odiri Oginni, CFA is the Chief Executive Officer of United Capital Asset Management, one of Nigeria’s leading investment management firms, with more than ₦1 trillion in assets under management. She assumed the role in January 2019 and has more than two decades of experience spanning investment management, financial advisory, capital markets, and financial leadership.
Before becoming CEO, Dr. Oginni served as Group Chief Financial Officer of United Capital Plc, one of Nigeria’s leading financial services groups. She previously served as Chief Financial Officer of UBA Global Markets, the investment banking arm of United Bank for Africa Plc.
Dr. Oginni is Vice President of CFA Society Nigeria and previously chaired the Society’s Employer Relations Committee. She is also a member of the Equity Portfolio Advisory Committee of Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX) and serves on the Executive and Governing Council of the Lagos Business School Alumni Association.
She holds a first class degree in Accounting from Babcock University and an MBA from Strayer University. She is a CFA Charterholder, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), and holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from Lagos Business School.
