Michinori (Mitch) Kanokogi is Head of Data, AI & Quant Research at Nissay Asset Management. He developed an award-winning GenAI platform and leads the adoption of AI across the investment management process. Since November 2025, he has served as Vice President of CFA Society Japan. Previously, he helped launch AQR Capital Management’s Japan business as Head of Investment Management. He also brings experience in multi-manager investing at Russell Investments, equity portfolio management at UBS, and management consulting at PwC and Deloitte.

He has translated several finance and AI books, including Advances in Financial Machine Learning, Expected Returns, and Beyond Diversification. He holds a B.Eng. from the University of Tokyo, an M.Eng. from Kyoto University, an MBA from INSEAD, and is a CFA Charterholder.
