James Ware, CFA, is founder of Focus Consulting Group, a firm that helps investment leaders develop talent and build high-performing organizations. He has been a keynote speaker for CFA Institute, the Mutual Fund Educational Alliance, and the Investment Adviser Association on investment leadership, organizational culture, and team performance.

Ware is the author of several books, including Type, Talent and Teams; Money, Meaning, and Mindsets; and Investment Leadership: Building a Winning Culture for Long-Term Success. His work has been published in the Financial Analysts Journal and the Journal of Portfolio Management, and he has served as a guest lecturer at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He holds a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Williams College and a master's degree in business from the University of Chicago.
