Biography

Ignatius Chithelen, CFA, is managing partner, Banyan Tree Capital, New York. From 1993 to 2000, he was an analyst and portfolio manager at SoGen Funds, New York, which is now part of First Eagle Funds.

Chithelen’s work has been published in Barron’s, Knowledge@Wharton, New York Times, and other publications. He has been quoted in The Financial Times, Bloomberg and other publications. He has served as a guest lecturer at NYU Stern School of Business and other universities. He earned an MPhil, Centre for Development Studies, India, and an MS in Journalism, Columbia University, New York.
